Since they arrived at DBARC, we have been searching for a home for them together, and were delighted when somebody offered them a home.
Off they went with their new family - only to be returned just a week later because Jessie was being aggressive with the neighbours dog, with cats and has snapped at people. Poor Jessie needs time to settle - a week is not long enough for any new dog to settle, especially for an older dog who has had as rough a time as she has endured losing her beloved owner.
Glen was a good boy throughout - although the lady who took them said Jessie bossed him a lot.
So we have decided that it may be time to split them up and find them separate homes. We did trial this by sending Glen to a foster home for a couple of nights, and both dogs coped well - neither seemed to particularly miss their friend.
So we will now leave it in the lap of the gods to see which way these lovely dogs find their forever home.
If some kind person comes along to offer them both a home - they will go together, but if somebody offers one of them a home - we will let them go singly
We just want to see these lovely dog in a home, getting all the love and attention they deserve, sitting on the sofa watching tele with their new family - so fingers crossed for little Jessie and Glen
