Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.

BREED: Collie Cross
SEX: Male (Neutered)
AGE: Aprox. 8 Months
SIZE: Medium

Skip is one of two dogs who have been surrendered by a farmer for rehoming. He was born on the farm, and has been raised as a happy, sociable and well cared-for dog, but he and his brother are basically surplus to requirements as working dogs, so the sensible decision was made to find them a new life as companion dogs.

Skip is a sensitive little guy who has recently been adopted but returned after 4 days as he was not settling well in the home. His adopter found he was very anxious in the home and despite being crated at the farm seemed to be scared of the crate in his new home so his adopter could not use one for him. He is going to need an experienced adopter who understands nervous dogs and has the time to help him settle in to home life. He has always lived with his brother and other dogs so a move into a home without his bro will be stressful so please only apply if you have the time and experience to help him settle.

Skip is of an intelligent type of dog, so will need plenty of mental exercise as well as physical exercise. Training classes will be essential, and he would make a great prospect for a doggie sport such as Flyball or Agility. He will certainly need an interesting and active lifestyle, and company most of the time.

Please fill in our Application Form if you are interested in adopting this dog

(If the animal’s name does not appear in the drop down box on the form - it means the animal is already reserved)
