PEANUT
Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.
BREED: Terrier Cross
SEX: Female
AGE: Aprox. 2 Years
SIZE: Small (3 Kg)
Little Peanut was given up for rehoming because her previous owners also have some very large dogs, and Peanuts was being bullied by them, so the owners decided that for Peanut's own safety she should be re-homed. She was immediately taken into a foster home to keep her safe while she was prepared to come to DBARC to find a loving, permanent home. In the foster home she regained her confidence around other dogs, but is likely to remain wary of larger and very assertive dogs - and this is reasonable because she is tiny!
Peanut was good with the fosterer's cat who is very dog-savvy and in fact larger than her. She also came to trust the dog-savvy children in the house, but as she is not the most confident dog, we feel she should not be re-homed with children under 10 years.
Peanut is a bright little dog who will enjoy an active lifestyle with someone who has had dogs before. She will need company most of the time.
