Spot is a very sweet natured boy, who loves company and has captured many hearts in his time at the rescue and foster. His favourite pass time is playing with a ball, however he also loves his toys, his food and has now learnt about the joys of evening sofa snuggles!
Spot found kennels a very stressful environment, but has settled beautifully into a foster home. He is a typical collie and has a lot of energy and requires lots of mental stimulation throughout the day, alongside his walks. He would be best suited to an active but also busy household. He thrives off of routine especially when settling into a new home.
He is very eager to learn and please in classic collie fashion, within a week he has not only learnt the basics of his name, sit and down, but also recall and general household manners, such as settling during dinner time. He will need continued training in a new home and would be better suited to an owner experienced with high energy/intelligent breeds. He is very good with all people outside and inside the home and say's hello politely to other dogs on walks.
He is used to being crated at night and being left in his playpen/crate when out of the room for periods. He can be left alone when he is tired out, currently he's been left for around an hour. This is something that can be increased with time. He can sometimes be anxious of new loud noises or experiences, but with positive reinforcement he rapidly gains confidence.
Spot has settled incredibly well into a foster home and he is ready to find his forever home. He has overcome lots of obstacles in his life, but that has not stopped him from being the sweetest boy who just wants love and cuddles
