NEVILLE
Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.
BREED: Collie Cross
SEX: Male (Neutered)
AGE: Aprox. 2-3 Years
SIZE: Medium (15kg)
Young Neville's former owner was reported to the Dog Warden for keeping two dogs in seriously neglectful conditions. They were living full time chained up in a shed in filthy conditions, and although the person was at least feeding them, and occasionally letting them out, this was not a satisfactory situation. When he was advised that he must improve the situation, he took both the dogs to the Vets for a more permanent solution, but fortunately for these lovely dogs, the Vet said this was not acceptable, and managed to get the dogs signed over to rescue for rehoming.
Neville has been in the care of a kind kennel owner whilst waiting to come to DBARC. He has been a very good boy, friendly to all people and just so happy to get some attention. Apart from the dog he lived with, he had likely not met many dogs before and although he was happy enough to see other dogs, when running free in a group, his collie genes kicked in and he tried to round up a group of about 20 other dogs! So the kennel owner feels he needs more work on his recall before being allowed to run free with multiple other dogs! He will of course be needing general training as well, although he does at least walk on the lead.
Neville is such a sweet boy who has had such a poor start in life so now needs a very loving new owner to make up for all he has endured and who will help him reach his full potential as a loving and happy dog. This someone will be a previous dog owner who enjoys the company of a clever and active companion, and who is able to give him company most of the time.
