Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.

BREED: Terrier Cross
SEX: Female (Neutered)
AGE: Aprox. 4 Years
SIZE: Small (7kg)

Cute little Mia has come into rescue because her owner has had to move to accommodation where dogs are not allowed. She was surrendered for rehoming along with her brother, and although they are good friends, they are by no means inseperable so do not need to be rehomed together. However, potential adopters should bear in mind that Mia has always been used to company, whether canine or human.

Mia is a friendly and outgoing little dog who is sociable with people of all ages, but as she has not lived with children, we would not wish to place her with youngsters under 10 years. She is used to being around other dogs, but will chase cats, so no feline friends for this little one! She is also unknown with small pets but given her terrier genes, this is unlikely to be a safe situation!

Mia has been used to a busy and interactive lifestyle, so will need plenty of regular exercise and mental stimulation. As she has not been used to living alone, she will need company most of the time.

When a dog moves into a new home, they need time and consideration to help them feel confident and settled. They are having to adjust to a totally different environment, with new people and new challenges, and when one adopts a rescue dog, one must be ready to help them through not just the first few days, but for as long as it takes for them to feel comfortable in their new life. They are relying on their new owners to teach them the house rules and all about the new world they are living in. They are likely to need and benefit from dog training classes, and may also need behavioural help and the adopter may need to seek professional advice. If you are considering adopting, please be very sure that you are committed to the needs of your new friend, as they will be relying on you and their life and happiness is literally in your hands. This will last for their lifetime, so please also take an honest look at your age and activity levels and ensure that you are likely to be able to meet their ongoing needs.
