GWEN

£0.00

Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.

BREED: Collie Cross Spaniel
SEX: Female (Neutered)
AGE: Aprox. 7 Years
SIZE: Medium (12 kg)

Gwen was adopted from DBARC as a young puppy, but has sadly been returned because the adopters felt that changes in the home environment and their lifestyle meant that they could no longer accommodate Gwen's needs and that they were no longer able to give her the correct quality of life. With two young children now in the home, and both parents working full time, her former owners made the decision that they were not able to give Gwen the time and stimulation that this very bright dog needs and indeed had been used to.

Gwen is a very energetic and lively dog who loves her walks, loves to swim, to play with toys and enjoys dog games and puzzles. She is a very bright, very interactive and very active dog - so she will need a similar owner!

Gwen is good with small children, but we would not recommend her to someone who has a young family as their natural demands would again not give Gwen the time and attention she needs. She is good with other dogs but not with cats and has not met small pets. She walks nicely on the lead, is brilliant in the house and has a good recall when out on walks, which she loves of course.

Gwen is not suited to a quiet lifestyle. She has a busy brain and needs mental and physical exercise, and although she is good when left, she finds this quite stressful so will need company most of the time.

Please fill in our Application Form if you are interested in adopting this dog

(If the animal’s name does not appear in the drop down box on the form - it means the animal is already reserved)
