Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.

BREED: Poodle x
SEX: Male (Neutered)
AGE: Aprox. 6 Years
SIZE: Small (6 Kg)

Cute little Teddy has come into rescue from the world of commercial breeding, so whilst he is a really sweet and friendly little guy,, he will not have had any experience of living in a house and will know nothing about the wider world. for this reason he will need to be adopted by someone who has had dogs before and who has the time , patience and energy to teach him all about the world he will now be living in, one that he will feel quite frightening and overwhelming at times. he would likely do well with a mature and steady resident dog to help him and to mentor him.

Teddy will not be used to young children, and given that he is going to need someone able to work with him to help him settle to his new life, this process will likely not be compatible with the needs of a young family, so we would not wish to rehome him with children under 10 years. He is unknown with cats or small pets. He has been sued to living with other dogs.

Teddy has a low moulting type of coat so this will need clipping and trimming from time to time. He walks on the lead and is a very good boy to handle

When a dog moves into a new home, they need time and consideration to help them feel confident and settled. They are having to adjust to a totally different environment, with new people and new challenges, and when one adopts a rescue dog, one must be ready to help them through not just the first few days, but for as long as it takes for them to feel comfortable in their new life. They are relying on their new owners to teach them the house rules and all about the new world they are living in. They are likely to need and benefit from dog training classes, and may also need behavioural help and the adopter may need to seek professional advice. If you are considering adopting, please be very sure that you are committed to the needs of your new friend, as they will be relying on you and their life and happiness is literally in your hands. This will last for their lifetime, so please also take an honest look at your age and activity levels and ensure that you are likely to be able to meet their ongoing needs.

Please only apply for George if you have another calm and gentle dog - we will not allow him to go as an only dog.

Please fill in our Application Form if you are interested in adopting this dog
