Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.

BREED: Lurcher type
SEX: Female (neutered)
AGE: Aprox. 4-5 Years
SIZE: Large

Beautiful Tessa has come into rescue due to the ill health of her former owner and due to no fault of her own. She has been a loved dog, and has a very kind and sweet nature. She loves a fuss and is gentle and affectionate, easy to walk, easy to handle and even easier to love! A total poppet!

Tessa is good with other dogs, even small ones, but she is not good with cats or small pets so should not be rehomed with these. She has not lived with children, but has been used to socialising with them, so we would be happy to place her with children over 10 years.

Tessa loves her walks and is very good on the lead. She also loves a cuddle on the sofa! She is a delightful dog.

When a dog moves into a new home, they need time and consideration to help them feel confident and settled. They are having to adjust to a totally different environment, with new people and new challenges, and when one adopts a rescue dog, one must be ready to help them through not just the first few days, but for as long as it takes for them to feel comfortable in their new life. They are relying on their new owners to teach them the house rules and all about the new world they are living in. They are likely to need and benefit from dog training classes, and may also need behavioural help and the adopter may need to seek professional advice. If you are considering adopting, please be very sure that you are committed to the needs of your new friend, as they will be relying on you and their life and happiness is literally in your hands. This will last for their lifetime, so please also take an honest look at your age and activity levels and ensure that you are likely to be able to meet their ongoing needs.
