BREED: Terrier Cross
SEX: Female (Neutered)
AGE: Aprox. 5 Years
SIZE: Small

Sweet little Clover has come from an exploitative backyard breeder, and has already had four litters of puppies. All that nonsense is over for her now. She has lived in conditions of shocking neglect, and when taken into rescue along with another dog from the same place (you could not describe it as a home) both dogs were so matted that they had to have all their coat sheared off, basically in one big lump of tangled hair. These dogs have probably never known any love or care, but despite this, they are sweet and affectionate although slightly lacking in confidence until they get to know you.

Clover has lived with other dogs, but is unknown with cats. She has not lived with children, and although she has been brilliant with the children in the foster home where she was cared for before coming to DBARC, we believe she would do better in an adult household as she would find the normal noisy play of children quite intimidating at first.

Although Clover has currently had all her coat sheared off, this will of course regrow, and as she is a low moulting type of dog, she will need regular coat care and likely professional clipping possibly two or three times a year. She will need kind and empathic handling as she has likely seen very little of the world outside where she existed before, but is a total poppet and will be well worth the care and time needed.
