Katie is a very lovely girl who was given up for rehoming, apparently because her owners were moving house and unable to take her. She had also clearly not been having the best of care as she was in poor condition. However, in a caring foster home with proper food she soon picked up and now weighs in at an ideal weight of @24 kilos, making her slightly larger than the average collie.
Katie is a sweet and very gentle soul with people, and has been very good around her fosterer's children. She has not lived with cats or small pets, but has been in foster with dogs of all ages and sizes and has been good and tolerant of all.
Katie walks well on the lead and has a good recall. She loves her walks but has not been used to busy areas or lots of traffic She has a gentle temperament, possibly slightly shy at first but she soon gains confidence, especially if she is offered a few tasty treats! She will need company most of the time.
